White America - Joseph Barndt, Augsburg; 1991 Looks at racism as a white problem and how
difficult it is to eliminate due to its deep roots in our culture and
society; a challenging book but worth reading Close the Book on Hate, 101 Ways to Combat Prejudice – B&N &
the Anti-Defamation League (Video) Seeing the Face of God
in Each Other – ECUSA, New York NY, 2004 These are the videos and other materials used for our Anti-Racism
training. Included are two videos and two study guides, as well as samples of

Stir-Fry Productions, Oakland CA; 1995 - 90 minutes Living in Color – Randy Woodley, InterVarsity Press, Downers Grove IL; 2001 Woodley, part
Native American, believes God created diverse cultures and races out of His
love for variety and so that we could learn from one another; he gives many
Bible stories new interpretations and makes very interesting points about living
together. He includes a lot of history about racial interactions, primarily
about the white-Native American interactions, but he also refers to other
racial situations. He also gives some very practical insights regarding ways
we can relate to one another with sensitivity. His is an interesting
perspective, and the book comes with a study guide for groups as well. |
