written and clear discussions of their topic; very useful for those who are
new to the Episcopal Church and even of use to long time members. They are
formatted with questions for discussion at the end of each chapter and a
bibliography at the end of each book. Ideal for Inquirers or Confirmation
classes. Welcome to the Bible

the Bible. The Church’s New

Harrisburg PA, 2006 [located in
Christian Formation - Youth Curriculum] This is an excellent introduction to the Episcopal Church for teens.
The information is fairly straightforward on Baptism and Confirmation, Bible,
History, Faith, Worship, Sacraments, Spirituality, and the organization of
the Episcopal/Anglican Church, but it is presented in a way accessible to
youth and there is a website for follow-up on any given topic. It is a good
book to use with a youth group, a Confirmation group, or as background
information for leaders. New: Your Faith,
Your Life – Jenifer Gamber & Bill Lewellis,
Morehouse, 2009 Like My
Faith My Life, this book is a good introduction to the Episcopal Church
but is designed for adults and newcomers to the church. It is organized
around a series of “imperatives” that help us reflect on the material
presented; these are “be attentive, be intelligent, be reasonable, be
responsible, and be in love”. Through these imperatives the information
becomes more than just words on a page or more information for us to store;
it causes us to dig deeper into who we are, who the Church is, and how they
work together. (DVD) The
