Preparation for First Communion
The following

children; uses symbol to impress each lesson; leader guide and student guide;
teacher manual includes information on background material and on setting up
the program, as well as complete lesson plans. 2 sets This
Bread & This Cup – Mary Lee Wile, Living the Good News, Denver CO;
2005 Including both a Leader’s Guide and
Child’s book, this series is to help instruct children in the Episcopal
Church about the Eucharist. It may be used prior to a child’s First
Communion, but it may also be used with a Sunday School class of 2nd
to 3rd graders who are already taking the Eucharist. Wile talks
about both the theology behind the Eucharist in terms the children can
understand and about the actual practice-what happens and what they are to
do. As with the other sets she has done, Wile presents a clear and sound
discussion of the sacraments in the Episcopal Church. |
