The following items are located at the Diocesan Center, Saginaw:

The Art of Being Together – Frank Wade, Forward Movement Publications, Cincinnati OH; 2005

After over 40 years of marriage and of counseling couples as a pastor, Frank Wade has put together a book talking about the things

which make for a lasting relationship. He emphasizes both the personal and the community aspects of marriage and goes into detail

about the meaning of the vows couples make as they are married. And he discusses the things that can give a marriage problems-as

well as talking about the possibility of divorce.  Primarily designed for couples, especially those engaged and planning their weddings,

this inexpensive little book would be helpful in any marriage relationship.

To Love and To Cherish Till Death Do Us Part - John Westerhoff, St Luke’s, Atlanta GA; 1998

Helps couples prepare for the marriage ceremony and for their life together; they look at a history of marriage, a theology of marriage, and about topics to discuss prior to marriage; it examines the ideas of a healthy, happy marriage and our spiritual life as reflected in a marriage. Finally, it goes through the ceremony itself with comments and suggestions. Sure to provoke discussion by an engaged couple if taken seriously.
